A number of the area's commercial real estate leaders plan to beat the drum for transportation funding packages that will come up for vote this fall. Politicos will work the circuit, too. Gov. Gary Locke will take up the drum sticks at the next breakfast meeting of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, set for Wednesday, June 19, at the Elliott Grand Hyatt Hotel in downtown Seattle. The event begins with 7 a.m. registration and networking and a 7:30 program start. Art Scheunemann, head of the Economic Development Council of Seattle and King County, will also speak. For reservations, call NAIOP at (206) 382-9121.
NAIOP is also gearing up for its annual Night of the Stars awards program, set for July 19. The association is soliciting nominations for award winners.
